Sail Haven Volunteer Opportunities |
GREETERSTake a two hour shift on busy Open Sailing days (weekends, holidays and special events) and greet members, guests, and the public as an ambassador of Sail Haven. Volunteer for a few hours and then go sailing! |
SAILING MENTORSTake out less experienced sailors on "Welcome to Sail Haven" days and provide them with more time on the water to sharpen their skills. Members ranked at "Level 3 - Advanced" or higher are eligible to participate. EMAIL: SAILHAVEN@CANALDOCK.ORG |
ASSISTANT SAILING INSTRUCTORSJoin new sailors on the water as an assistant instructor in their beginner sailing course. You must be a Sail Haven member ranked at "Level 3 - Advanced" or higher to participate. US Sailing Certified instructors will be leading the classes. |
CERTIFIED SAILING INSTRUCTORSSail Haven needs US Sailing Small Boat Instructor Level 1 certified instructors to lead and teach sailing lessons. Though Sail Haven pays for instructors we will gladly accept properly certified members to volunteer. Please contact Joel Zackin at sailhaven@canaldock.org for more information. |
BOAT REPAIR & MAINTENANCEVolunteers (members and non-members alike) are welcome to join in. No experience required - we'll teach you. Work Sessions are announced by email and posted on the events calendar. |
